NFL Draft: Clay Matthews Reads ‘Message’ from Trump

No matter how long Clay Matthews is away from the Green Bay Packers, he will always have hatred against Chicago Bears.

The former linebacker took the stage in Green Bay with several of his former Packers teammates and Packers Superman Lil Wayne.

After Goodell greeted the fans, Matthews took unannounced, the microphone and got the crowd fired up by reading a “message” from President Donald Trump.

Matthews apologized to the Commissioner for going “from script” but it was an electric moment.

“I just came from the phone with the president, Donald Trump. He asked me to pass on a message to all 32 NFL franchise. Let me tell you what it reads here, okay?” Matthews began.

“It says, ‘My co -Americans, the bears still suck!’

The bears are of course Packers’ top rival – there is even a song, appropriate with the title “The Bears Suck”, which often plays at Packers Tailgates.

Matthews personally dominated the bears in his career. In 19 games against Chicago, he recorded 56 solo tackles, 9.5 sacks and three interceptions. He also became Packers’ baggage for all the time against the bears. He went 16-3 against Chicago in his career, including a victory with Los Angeles Rams.
