Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that Pakistan is ready to allow an international investigation into the recent Pahagam event, suggesting that experts from European and neighboring countries are included.
When he spoke on the center of the TV program, Asif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s offer of an impartial probe and emphasized that Pakistan has no objection to international supervision.
“Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has made it clear: Let the international community examine the Pahagam incident and verify the credibility of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claims,” Asif said. He praised the prime minister’s recent address as extensive and addressed all relevant questions.
Asif emphasized that European nations, neighboring countries and even members of the UN Security Council could be encouraged to supervise the investigative process to ensure transparency. He also highlighted China’s crucial role and noted that Beijing shares boundaries with both India and Pakistan and has efforts in the Kashmir question. Asif pointed out that the Kashmir conflict is a colonial heritage left of Britain, suggesting that the United Kingdom should also be involved in investigating the matter.
Khawaja Asif, who criticized the Indian government, noted that even Indian citizens no longer have confidence in Prime Minister Modi. “Modi’s credibility is in tattoos; he manipulates the Pahagam story for political benefits prior to the election,” Asif said, noting that the Indian government has not yet presented any credible evidence of the incident.
He accused Modi of producing tales of election benefits and comparing the current situation with previous false flag surgeries, including the Pulwama attack. Asif claimed that Modi had previously encouraged violence against Sikhs, Christians and other minorities in India to consolidate support among extremist Hindu voters.
The Minister of Defense went ahead and accused India of exporting terrorism to countries such as Canada and the United States.
By ending his remarks, Khawaja Asif claimed that Pakistan is fully prepared to defend himself against any aggression. “We are not only 100 percent, but 200 percent ready to protect every inch of our soil. We have no aggressive intentions, but any aggression will be met with a strong answer,” he declared.
