Joey Logano fought for the top place during the NASCAR CUP Series race at Talladega SuperSpeedway on Sunday, but settled for fifth place when his teammate Austin Cindric won.
It was far from all rainbows and sunshine to teampoor drivers. Logano was heard tear in cindrric at the end of phase 2. Cindric ran towards the front as he was forced to check up and got off the line. It allowed Bubba Wallace to take control of the stage.

“The way to go, Austin,” Logano said at the beginning of his blistering race. “The way to go you mute f — Way to f — ing go. What stupid S — God! He just gave it to him. Gave it to him. Gave a Toyota stage win. Nice job. Way to go. What f —.”
Logano ended behind Wallace in the stage with Kyle Larson in the third and Cindric on the fourth.
The frustrations were short -lived.

Cindric was able to return to the front of the package and win Jack Link’s 500. Logano finished in fifth place. Fellow Ford driver Ryan Preece finished in second place. Larson was in third place and William Byron was in the fourth.

It was the third victory in the Cinder’s Nascar Cup Series career and the first since last season. He’s finished in the top 10 three times this season. Last year he was 23. In the Spring Talladega race.
