Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday briefed PML-N President Nawaz Sharif about the decisions made by the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting in the wake of the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) of India after a militant attack in the Pahagam area in the Law of the Kashmir.

Shehbaz called Nawaz on their family residence in Jati Umrah with Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz also present. Shehbaz informed his older brother of the decision made by the tip body and the country’s emergency preparedness to respond to any aggression with a greater strength.

PM to allegedly told his older brother that Pahaldam was yet another false flag operation of Indians to create instability in the region. He said that India’s unilateral decision to suspend the IWT had a high risk of a war in the region.

He said Pakistan is obliged to peace, but the nation’s security was non-negotiating.

According to an PML-N source, Nawaz Sharif wants his government to use all available diplomatic resources to restore peace between the two nuclear armed states. He said Nawaz was not eager to take an aggressive position.

He said that tensions between two nuclear armed states posed a risk to stability throughout the world and emphasized the need for the international community to take status over the rising tensions.

“Despite knowing it was a fake flag surgery, we are ready to work with such a commission to close the curtains on this drama. However, India will witness our readiness if any wrong distribution goes,” he added.
