Karachi:
Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has announced that the issue of controversial channels has been resolved thanks to the tireless efforts and effective strategy from Pakistan Peoples Party President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
In a statement, the Sindh Minister of Information, Transport and Mass Transit said the case will permanently be decided after the official meeting of the Council for Common Interest (CCI) on May 2rd.
He called on all political parties and the lawyers’ society to open roads to secure smooth transport of goods and prevent further financial losses. He warned that the closure of highways affects the public, livestock movement, import exports activities, farmers and the poor.
He said that if at least protests continue, weighing must remain open to maintain traffic flow.
MEMON appealed for peaceful demonstrations.
He said he is in contact with the lawyer’s society and political parties and that the Sindh government is ready to negotiate with all stakeholders.
He also urged political parties and lawyers to remain vigilant against disruptive elements, and emphasized that in the current national situation, wise and collective decision making is crucial.
