We are still months away from the probable September -launch of the iPhone 17 series, but we have already seen many pictures that are alleged to show dummy devices on these phones, giving us a good idea of their possible designs.
The latest such images have been shared by Leaker Majin Buer, which has sent pictures that are said to show an iPhone 17 Air Dummy Unit and an iPhone 17 Pro One.
They don’t really show us anything that previous leaks do not already have, but you can see that the iPhone 17 air looks quite slim, while the iPhone 17 Pro has a huge camera emergency, and looks like it may be bigger than the iPhone 16 Pro, as it appears next to in a photo.
As always, we would take these pictures with a pinch of salt, as while these dummy devices could be based on official information, there is no guarantee. However, they match previous leaks, and know most of the leaks we have seen so far, the iPhone 17 air will undoubtedly look more visually appealing than Pro. But it may not be able to translate into better sales.

Fabric over style
According to Apple Watcher Mark Gurman in his latest newsletter for Bloomberg (via Phonearena), the iPhone 17 Air is unlikely to “set any sales records”. That doesn’t mean it will be a failure – Gurman predicts that it will outsell Apple’s Plus and Mini models, but he expects the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max to prove the most popular.
However, it is not very surprising. Apple’s Pro hand set tends to sell the other iPhone models, and although the iPhone 17 air may well be the most stylish in the iPhone 17 series, it will probably be far from the best when it comes to specifications.
Leakies have suggested that the iPhone 17 Air has only one rear camera, for example, and there is also concern about how good the life of the battery will be, given the probable very limited space for a battery.
Along with a probably pretty high price, the iPhone 17 Air could be a hard sale for anyone who is interested in specifications as much as design.
We probably don’t find out exactly how skilled or popular iPhone 17 Air is until September; But given how extensive it and the other iPhone 17 models have already been leaked, we would expect to learn much more unofficially in the meantime.
