A Cleveland Guardians fan was thrown out of Sunday’s game after Heckling Boston Red Sox Outfielder Jarren Duran, who had been open to a suicide attempt three years ago.
The team said the tab said “something inappropriate” against Duran after he flew out into the seventh lap of a 13-3 win over the guardians. He was at the top of the dugout and stared at the fan as the rest of the lap continued. He was then initiated when baseball staff and progressive field safety handled the situation.

The fan tried to escape by running up the hall, but he was caught and removed from the stadium.
“We are aware of the situation that took place during today’s match between a fan and one of the Red Sox players who violated our fan behavior policy,” Guardians said in a statement after the game. “We recognize the seriousness of the behavior in question here and take very serious behavior of this kind.
“We regret the Red Sox organization, the player involved, fans in the area and addresses the situation. We have identified that fan and will work with Major League Baseball on the next step. We strive to give the best experience to visit players and fans and it fell short today.”

Duran, whose suicide attempt was revealed in the Netflix documentary “The clubhouse: A year of Red Sox,” talked about the incident.
“The fans just said something inappropriate. I’m just glad the security handled it and the judges were aware of it and they took care of it for me,” he said.
“When you open yourself like that, you also open yourself to the enemies. But I have a good support staff around me, teammates, coaches. There were fans who supported me so it was great.”
