Jenna Bush Hager’s daughter would be there for her brother.
Conversation with Guest Co-host Tina Fey Tuesday, April 29 Today with Jenna & FriendsThe 43-year-old American writer and journalist reflected on a recent event that happened in her house after she could not participate in her son Hal’s acting.
Hager said, “You are working hard, work is a passion. I only ask this because I have been a little through this right now. I have traveled to work. And my children, my daughter cried last night when I got home. She was like,” You missed Hal’s play! ” ”
The mother of three continued to ask, “and I already felt terrible about missing Hal’s play. Have your kids ever shown some of it? I need some therapy that you can tell.”
Fey, the 54-year-old American actor and comedian, said she had been exposed to something similar and shared the valuable advice she received.
She remembered, “When my daughter was young, it was when we made 30 rock and I worked really, really hard, a lot, and someone gave me advice from, it’s not good for women to pretend that you don’t like your work.”
The four seasons Star, who shares two daughters with husband Jeff Richmond, explained, “You don’t want to be like, ‘Oh, Mother Hates to Work, It’s So Bad.’ If you like your job you like your job.
“But yeah, I certainly cried a lot when my daughter was younger … you miss some things. But they know you’re there for them as much as you can absolutely be,” Fey said.
“And they’ve turned out to be okay,” noticed chin ahead of Fey’s answer, “They’ve turned out okay. So far, so good.”
It is relevant to mention that other than Hal, Jenna Bush Hager is also the mother of two daughters, Poppy and Mila.
In particular, she shares all three of her children with husband Henry Hager.
