A woman was killed Friday after a quick water tanker hit a motorcycle near Korangi crossing in Karachi, police and rescue officials confirmed.

According to the first reports, the tanker crushed the victim while driving on the motorcycle. The driver fled from the stage immediately after the incident. In response, furious citizens set the tanker on fire before law enforcement arrived.

Rescue 1122 officials confirmed that the fire was later extinguished and no further losses were reported on site.

Separately, a passenger bus overturned in the vicinity of the Samundari Baba shrine in the Gullhan-E-Hadeed, leaving three people died and at least eight others wounded.

Rescue teams transported the wounded to a nearby hospital, with operations running at the time of reporting.

In another event on the Quaidabad Bridge, a motorcyclist caused critical damage after being hit by a truck. Authorities stated that the driver fled from the stage and abandoned the vehicle.

The accidents series have intensified public concerns about traffic management and regulation of heavy vehicles in the city.
