Meghan Markle still uses her royal title because it gives her power in the United States and helps her stand out, claimed a PR expert.

Talking with Sun, PR expert Mark Borkowski explained that being linked to the royal family is a great advantage and helps Meghan stay important when working with offers or projects.

He noted that without the royal connection, the Duchess of Sussex would be considered another celebrity.

“Of course, it adds weight and she knows it adds weight,” he said.

The expert continued: “And it gives the kind of subliminal aura that she still has connections with the British royal family, which is a very, very, very powerful fire globally, especially in America.

“If you are disconnected from it, you lose your social capital, you lose your weight in terms of kind of some of these offers that she tries to do.

“I’m sure she uses it when it’s important when she has to land something, you know, to remind the people of the power she may have.

“This is a power play. This status is so important, because without this status she is another B lists on a continent that is absolutely populated with celebrities.”
