Lahore:
Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, the ceremonial leader of the country’s most populous province, has said that India is envious of Pakistan’s progress.
During a visit to a tractor production company in Sheikhupura, the Punjab Governor, who belongs to PPP, said on Sunday that the security and law and order situation in the country was satisfactory thanks to the Pakistani army.
He declared the Pahagam event on April 22 “A drama”. Khan called on India to present solid proof of Pakistan’s alleged commitment to the attack on tourists and warn that Pakistan has the capacity to give an appropriate response to any misunderstanding in part of India.
He said that the troops who guard the Pakistani borders should not consider themselves alone as the whole nation is behind them. He described the current COAs, General Asim Munir, as “a deterrent person”.
The governor noted that the car and motorcycle production industry in the country is growing rapidly. He said the current government has particularly focused on the manufacture of electric cars and motorcycles.
He said that progress in industries is crucial to national security. “The youth proves its mettle in all areas, including the modern technologies,” he said, adding that his party, PPP, always stands by the poor and the oppressed classes.
On April 22, unknown militant tourists attacked near the Pahagam area of IIOJK. India immediately accused Pakistan of the attack while taking a number of measures, including the unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT).
