Angel Reese Says No Atlanta Dream All-Star Starters ‘Slap in the Face’

Despite being tied for the best record in the Eastern Conference, the Atlanta Dream do not have a starter in this year’s WNBA All—Star Game.

Angel Reese, Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray narrowly missed out on the honor, though all three appear to be locks to at least be selected to play in the game.

Reese herself said that she “expects[s] to be respected” but stood up for his teammates because “they won’t say anything.”

“For those two though, I think they work so hard and they put in a lot of work and the way they’re guarded every game and they [have to] adapt. The reason we are where we are is because of those two,” Reese said.

“To not have anyone, it was just a slap in the face.”
