Philadelphia Eagles star Quarterback Jalen Hurts was torn by fans on social media to attend Met Gala on Monday when Quarterback did not attend the White House during the Eagles’ recent visit to celebrate their Super Bowl win.
Hurts did not attend the Eagles Super Bowl party with President Donald Trump due to “planning conflicts,” Pakinomist confirmed.

Hurts’ teammate, Saquon Barkley, was also present at Met Gala on Monday. Barkley was facing criticism for working with Trump on social media and pushing back against the blowback he received.
“LOL some people are really disturbed because I played golf and flew to the White House with the president,” Barkley wrote at X in April. “Maybe I’m just respecting the office, not a tough concept to understand. Just golf with Obama not too long ago … and looks forward to ending my round with Trump! Now you have to get out of my mentions with all this policy and have a great day.”

While Hurts has received criticism for his decision to skip the Eagles celebration into the White House, others have supported Quarterback’s decision.
