Bill Belichick’s opinion of Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes Surfaces In New Book

Bill Belichick won six Super Bowls during his big period at New England Patriots lasting almost a quarter of a century.

Belichick and the Patriots mutually agreed to share ways after the 2023 season. Each NFL team then decided to pass on the six-time master coach during the employment cycle in 2024. Earlier this year, Belichick reached an agreement with North Carolina Football to become the program’s next main coach.

But before his first season in Chapel Hill starts in the fall, Belichick reflected on his established pro football coach career in his new book, “The Art of Winning.” However, a “controversial” comparison of quarterbacks is Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes in the book with headlines.

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl winner, is widely considered one of the greatest players, if not the best time, in the league story. Brady withdrew “for good” after the 2022 season. But Patrick Mahomes has reached the last three Super Bowls to win two, and is often called the best active NFL signal call.

Belichick argued that both players are “really good.”

Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes admits the Super Bowl -tab to Tom Brady, Buccaneers still sticking

“I have never engaged in this argument with my good friend Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs’ head coach, but I have little doubt that he will write his own book one day and claim he had the biggest QB of the time,” wrote 73-year-old Belichick.

The former NFL coach then recognized the “controversial” character of his opinion and wrote, “You know what? Brady and Patrick Mahomes are both really good. Controversial, I know.”

Belichick continued to explain that his opinion was centered around the ability of both Quarterbacks to deal with success.

Then he pointed to Mahomes’ availability of media media after Kansas City Chiefs narrowly won a game in 2024. Belichick highlighted how Mahomes decided to focus on how he was “lack of opportunities” instead of his personal feats. TAK HEEL’s coach suggested it was a good example of leadership.

“This kind of comment is music for my ears. Can’t get enough of it,” noted Belichick. “It’s basically an example of elite management. Very similar when we wanted to win a game with Tom 28-10 and then he would say, ‘We should have scored forty-five!’

Belichick praised Brady for being a footballer who never hesitated when it came to do the “hard things.” He also wrote about the challenges he encountered coaching Brady.

“Tom was hard to coach because he was so well prepared. I loved coaching Brady – he brought out the best in me,” Belichick wrote. “He was smart, mentally and physically tough and the most reliable player I have coached.”

Elsewhere, Belichick’s much discussed romance with former cheerleader Jordon Hudson back to the middle scene after a recent TV interview. Hudson was accused of trying to assert his control during Belichick’s sitting down with “CBS News Sunday Morning.” The interview was part of the book’s promotional media trip. In the recognition of the book, Hudson is referred to as Belichick’s “Creative Muse.”
