Islamabad:
India crossed all borders of international laws as the targeted civilian in the small hours on Wednesday, but it went further with treacherous bombing of Pakistan’s Neelum Jhelum Hydro project rating up its ongoing water terrorism against Pakistan, says security sources.
They said that the Indian shelling targeted at the intake structure of the Nauseri dam on the Neelum River began at 1 p.m.
An ambulance parked nearby was also damaged in the attack, highlighting India’s reckless ignoring of human life and international norms. “The attack is a clear violation of international laws,” a source said. “Targeting of sensitive places such as water resources is an inconsumable breach of international norms.”
India’s water aggression began after it suspended the 65-year-old Indus Water Treaty (IWT) on April 23. Giving even a wealth of evidence accused India Pakistan of the killing of 26 people in Pahagam. Last week, it also manipulated the flow of the Chenab River.
“The situation is still serious and disturbing,” warned Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, while S-Peaking in the National Assembly Wednesday. “Neelum-Jhelum has been attacked,” he added. “The war can escalate further. When such a situation arises, an answer must be given.”
