- DJI sets the Mavic 4 Pro -Launch Date for May 13
- It looks like a rotating gimbal is on the way
- We can also see upgraded cameras
After months of rumors and leaks, we will see the successor to DJI Mavic 3 Pro in the coming days: DJI has sent a new teaser to social media that sets the launch day to Tuesday, May 13 while promising this drone will “spin your world”.
You can see the teaser over on X or on the DJI site, and although the DJI Mavic 4 Pro name is not mentioned, it is clear that this is the device that is on the way when we get a full look at the expected Triple camera system, led by a 100MP hazel blade wide camera.
As for the tagline “Spin Your World”, it looks like this new drone will have a spinning gimbal that can rotate independently of the drone itself and open a wealth of new movie options.
Understandably, DJI has not released more details of Mavic 4 Pro. The launch event is underway at. 13.00 BST in the UK, which acts as 05:00 pt / 08:00 ET / 22:00 AEST, and we will of course cover it all for you.

DJI may hold most of the Mavic 4 Pro details during wrapping for now, but we’ve seen lots of leaks up to this point. In fact, they go back almost a year – that’s when we got our first look at the triple camera on the front of the drone.
At the beginning of the year we got another look at the camera module, which is apparently bigger this time (hopefully pointing to better image quality). The thinking, however, is that this new drone can miss Lidar functionality.
Recently, we have seen unofficial renditions of the drone design fully, and it looks more or less like Mavic 3 Pro. There have also been rumors of 52 minutes of battery life and a starting price of $ 2,250 in the US.
As our DJI Mavic 3 Pro Review will tell you, that drone started at $ 2,199 / £ 1,879 / AU $ 3,099. We also awarded it five stars out of five and a high place on our best DJI drone list, so we look forward to seeing its successor.
