New details about Death Stranding 2: On the beach has been revealed prior to the game’s release next month.
The latest comes from the PlayStation Blog’s practical impressions that give fresh insight into Death Stranding 2Including information about the game’s history, gameplay and recently added features.
With regard to narrative, the sequel is set 11 months after Death Stranding And finds Sam Bridges, who lives in Mexico in a quiet life with his BB Lou until he gets caught in an incident that brings him to Australia, where he is again tasked with traveling over the card to “re -connect a broken society”.
Compared to the first game, Death Stranding 2‘S story’ takes place at a faster pace ‘and gives players access to new equipment and structures earlier.
The story starts in Mexico, but new recordings of the Australia map show the expansive terrain. During the trip, players will be able to switch to an “air camera” showing SAM from a bird’s eye view, giving a further look at the environment around them.
It is also said that the game will offer “more choices and freedom in terms of strategy and decision -making” that apply to the new equipment, as well as transport, infrastructure, weapons, smoke grenades to avoid fighting completely and more.
Alongside new enemy types, as a new BT called “The Watcher” that records and attacks through sight, gameplay looks much more reactive this time with the addition of a new day and night cycle.
E.g. Are terrain and enemies more visible during the day, but threats can locate the player more easily. Meanwhile, Night Time offers more options for stealth at the expense of visibility.
Environmental hazards, such as earthquakes, flash flooding and heavy rain, will also affect the world around Sam, which means players will have to find alternative routes from time to time.
