The Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, addresses international media in the midst of escalating tensions between Pakistan and India and raises concerns about India’s rapid guilt allocation after a recent event.
When he spoke at a joint press conference in Islamabad on Friday, LT Gen Chaudhry was flanked by Director General of Pakistan Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed and Deputy Chief of Fleet Personal (Operations), Bagadmiral Raja Rab Nawaz. The senior military officials informed media about the evolving situation on the line of control (LOC) and the wider regional implications.
LT Gen Chaudhry questioned the credibility of New Delhi’s response and pointed out how the Indian government identified alleged perpetrators “within just 10 minutes” after the incident. He said this quick conclusion repeated a well -known pattern of premature accusations in previous events.
“Such a hurry raises serious questions about intention,” he noted, suggesting that the move was designed to divert attention from India’s own internal questions.
The ISPR chief also condemned what he described as India’s ongoing cross-border aggression, and accused Indian forces of deliberately targeting civilians, including women and children, in recent events.
Pakistan’s military leadership repeated its commitment to peace, but warned against continued provocations and called on international observers to take note of the situation.
