Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened an emergency meeting in the National Command Authority (NCA) as Pakistan’s military continues Operation Bunyan-Un-Maroos, a major retaliatory campaign in response to Indian missile and drone attacks earlier this week.

According to security sources, the operation-launched in the early hours of Saturday targeted several Indian military installations with high value. Confirmed strikes include the destruction of Brahmo’s missil storage site in Beas, Outhadure Airbase, Pathankot Airfield and Adampur Airfield, which was reportedly used to launch missiles to Amritsar, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Security officials also reported that India’s Brigade Headquarters at G-Top and the Supply Depot in URI have been destroyed. In addition, Pakistan has targeted and neutralized an Indian artillery position in Dehrangyari and a Brahmos Storage in Nagrota with reports of major losses.
Officials also confirmed that Pakistan launched his al-Fatah mission during surgery and named it in honor of innocent Pakistani children killed in previous Indian strikes. “Pakistan has neither forgotten nor will ever forget about these children’s victims,” said a security source.
As military operation continues, Pakistan Air Force remains on high alarm. Airspace across the country was closed earlier in the day until noon as a precautionary measure.
