- Signs of new chatgpt -subscriptions have been viewed
- For now the settings are hidden away in app code
- Monthly subscriptions are the only available options
Openai has to pay for his melting GPUs in some way, and it seems that the chatgpt developer is investigating new subscription options to encourage more people to start paying for AI text, coding and image generation.
As discovered by Tipster @M1astra, the latest Chatgpt -App -Builds include weekly, annual and lifetime subscriptions along with the current monthly. The team on Android Authority found the same references in the latest Chatgpt app for Android.
The decision -making manufacturers at Chatgpt could change their opinion before any of this of course goes live, and we haven’t heard anything official about this yet. But it makes sense that Openai wants to offer subscribers more flexibility to encourage extra registrations.
An important piece of information is missing here: How much these subscriptions would cost. Right now you can either pay $ 20 (about £ 15 / AU $ 31) each month for a plus subscription, or $ 200 (about £ 150 / AU $ 312) a month for Chatgpt Pro.

Of these new subscription options, the weekly agreement seems the most appealing. It will help you quickly complete a project or generate a photo gallery before you have to return to the restrictions of use for the free level.
A lifetime subscription would be a real surprise-it is not something we tend to see much of other places with high-profile software and services, and it is difficult to calculate the ongoing costs of AI treatment and hardware in the coming decades.
What we know is that driving AI models is a very, very expensive business, and so far Openai has spent much more money on chatgpt than made back. Getting more people to stand out with their cash is a way to solve it.
We have also seen upgrades to the shopping capacities in Chatgpt in recent days, which is another potential money spinner: Chatgpt guides you to the perfect coffee maker and get a cut of the purchase price in return.
