Sabu, the pro wrestling legend who made a name for himself as a hardcore and violent wrestler in the ring, has died, WWE announced Sunday. He was 60.
Wrestler, whose real name was Terry Brunk, performed his last event in Las Vegas during Wrestlemania Weekend and defeated GameCang Wrestlings (GCW) Joey Janela in a No Ropes Girl Wire Fight.

Pwinsider.com first reported Sabus’s death.
“WWE is sorry to hear that Terry Brunk, known for fighting fans like Sabu, is dead,” the company said in a statement. “WWE is expanding his condolance to Sabus family, friends and fans.”

GCW added: “He was a ban and a gamechanger. He inspired so many who stepped inside a GCW ring and he will continue to inspire in future generations.
“His heritage will last forever and he will never be forgotten. Rest in peace and … Long living Sabu.”
Sabu had an indelible influence on the world, and it became known by those who responded to his death.

Sabu was the nephew of Ed Farhat, known in WWE as Sheik, and won several championships across several companies.
He appeared in several companies during his career, including the United States Wrestling Association, Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, Big Japan Pro Wrestling, All Japan Pro Wrestling, Xtreme Pro Wrestling, Stampede Wrestling, Border City City City City City City City Wrestling, Total Notstop Action, Lucha Libre Aaa Worldwide and All Elite Wrestling, Border City Wrestling, Total Notstop Action, Lucha Libre Aaas Worldwide and All Elite Elite Wrestling, Border City Wrestling there countless others.
He had a great influence with extreme championship wrestling, participated in some of the most barbaric matches in sports entertainment and groundbreaking hardcore wrestling, which helped the style of becoming more mainstream.
At the height of his career, he was a Triple Crown Master of the Extreme Championship Wrestling. He won the ECW World Heavyweight Championship twice and was a tag-team champion three times. He also held the ECW World Television Championship and was FTW Heavyweight Champion.
