India reopened 32 airports Monday after a ceasefire ending the worst battle with neighboring Pakistan since 1999.

India’s airport authority said that 32 – from Srinagar in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to Bhuj in the western state of Gujarat – were now available for civilian operations “with immediate effect.”

They were closed last week after fierce fighting broke out between India and Pakistan for four days, exposing the global alarm, it could spiral in full -blown war.

Leading Indian airline Indigo said it would “gradually start the operations on the previously closed routes”.

Pakistan’s airport authority opened its airspace full on Saturday.

The ceasefire was announced on Saturday. Both India and Pakistan said the border areas were quiet Monday.
