Since high school, it has long been assumed that Cooper Flagg would be the top selection of this year’s NBA draft. Now he knows where he (probably) will be on the way.
Dallas Mavericks won NBA Draft Lottery Monday, which means they currently own the first overall choice.
Dallas had an 8.5% chance of choosing top-four and 1.8% to win the lottery.

Flagg increased its own expectations by declaring Duke in high school, and then he lived up to the billing.
Flagg led Duke this season in almost any statistical category, including points (709), rebounds (278), assists (155), stealing (52) and blocks per day. Battle (1.4). He average 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.4 steals per Battle, but his best view was in January when he set an ACC-Nybstejder record with a 42-point performance against Notre Dame.
Flagg closed a phenomenal year with a semi -final performance in the NCAA lord and was named the winner of the award for Naismith Player of the Year in 2025 and became just the fourth beginner who was appointed his recipient with Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis and Zion Williamson.
