It’s Official: Peacemaker Season 2 Streamer at Max from Thursday 21 August at. 21.00 ET/PT. John Cena will be back as the titular hero and many villains’ shutters will be kicked.
The official synopsis says: “The new season follows Christopher ‘Chris’ Smith, alias Peacemaker, Vigilante Super Hero as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose as he continued to kick the righteous evil-dover ass in his misleading quest for peace at any cost.”
Season 1 star John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee and Robert Patrick are all back, and this time they are together with a new herd that includes Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez and Tim Meadows.
As you see from the trailer below, the second season seems to deliver one of the best Max Show’s trademark mixture of whipping action and whip -smart Visekracking. Here’s what you need to know.

1. It is resolved DC -universe’s problem
One of the problems facing season 2 is that it is in another universe for season 1: James Gunn Set Peacemaker Season 1 in DC Extended Universe, which is now gone, so season 2 takes place in DCU. It raises lots of questions that we have explained in our in -depth hub (the link above).
It seems that at least part of the answer is at the end of the trailer that shows not only peace maker but also … Peacemaker. If they are not DCU -Fredsman and the DCEU -Fredsman, we will be amazed.
2. Justice League is much more fun
In the trailer we see that the peacemaker auditions very uncomfortable for Maxwell Lord’s Justice League, while Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl look at. Presumably this was filmed during the production of SupermanWhich means we should not expect them to play a huge role in Season 2.
But it’s interesting because this Justice League is much more fun than DCEU, especially in his portrayal of Hawkgirl.
3. Rick flagg is the evil guy
It seems that Flagg Sr. becomes a key character in season 2 after his lead role in Creature Commandos animated series, and he has very good reasons to go after peacemaker: in Suicide Squad (Spoiler Alert!), Peacemaker killed his son. It makes him more nuanced than the usual Superhero Show villain: he is not a monster; He is a grief parent.
After this new trailer, there is plenty to be excited about, so August can’t come fast enough. Season 2 of Peacemaker Will stream at Max from August 21st and will see Rick Flag SR “on a mission” for justice.
