Luce Allen, a senior transmitter girl, defeated a beginner biological woman with less than two-tenths of a second in a 200-meter run on a Pennsylvania High School track meets over the weekend.

Allen, from Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School, set a personal record of 25.20 seconds in the race at Sol American Meet.

Allen now has six wins of the season, including in Liberty Girls’ 4×400-meter Relay at the same meeting.

Allen’s time would have been the fourth slowest time among male 200 meters runners, including preliminary heats. The winning times for the boys were 21.72 and 21.96 seconds.

According to ATHLETIC.net, Allen has been competing against girls since 2023, when Allen was another. No one with the surname “Allen” was listed on the list of boy nor girls in 2022, Allen’s first year.

A lawyer read a statement from Allen on a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Board, which meets back in March and said that forcing transient individuals to compete against those who share a biological sex will harm their development.

“If you remove the transgender’s ability to compete with a team that corresponds to their gender, you will strip them from their opportunity to develop as human beings,” Allen said via Philadelphia Inquirer. “Trans athletes, like any other high school athlete, are just kids who want to compete.”

Allen’s mother, Sarah Hansen, said at that meeting that she and her family have been on a journey for her to move over to the girl she has always been and that Allen competes against boys “would be cruel.”

“My child is a woman in her heart and soul, and according to her medical laboratories,” Hansen said.

“Luce’s presence on the team promotes a spirit of unity, sports and inclusive,” team head coach Christopher Jackson said at the same meeting. “They are admired for their bravery, work ethics and unshakable commitment to the sport they love.”

Hansen said that Allen is “Not a man who wants to play against girls, not a predator who wants to find a way into the female closet, and not a man who is not good enough to be a boy. She is a girl.”

The state of Pennsylvania undoubtedly put biological men competing against girls and women on the map when Upenn Swimmer Lia Thomas won a national championship in the Championship in 2022.

In the midst of his executive order to keep biological men out of girls and women’s sports, President Donald Trump’s administration began a title IX study of the Ivy League school.

Schools in Pennsylvania have defied the order signed in February. California, Maine and other states have also ignored the order.
