Islamabad:
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court ordered all high courts on Tuesday to submit items of pending cases related to the super tax and postponed the hearing until May 19.
A five-member constitutional bench from the Supreme Court, led by Justice Aminuddin Khan, heard the case when former senator lawyer Raza Rabbani, adviser to FBR, concluded his arguments for the bench.
Rabbani referred to various judicial precedents during his submissions regarding the introduction of the super tax. Justice Mandokhail asked about the Senate’s statement about the super tax. Rabbani replied that the Senate had not raised any objections to the tax.
