- Nvidia RTX 5060 Partner GPUs have been viewed at Best Buy prior to launch
- Models from Asus and Pny were spotted before they were removed
- The highest price for an over -clocked RTX 5060 was $ 409
Nvidia’s RTX 5060 is ready for launch on May 19, just before one of the biggest tech events in the world, Computex 2025, begins May 20. However, it seems that we may have an early insight into the pricing of 8 GB GP.
As reported by WCCFTECH, ASUS TUF and PRIME RTX 5060 GPUs were discovered at Best Buy (by Popular Leaker @momomo_us on X) prior to launch. Most interestingly, the ASUS TUF RTX 5060 OC edition was noted for $ 409, which is close to RTX 5070’s $ 549 launch price.
This comes after one of rival Amd’s Radeon RX 9060 XT partner card was leaked on a list of a Swiss retailer with a high price for a low-end GPU. However, it is important to note that this price is more than likely only a placeholder for now – at least that’s what we hope.
On the other hand, this may not be the case for NVIDIA GPUS. The second ASUS RTX 5060 lists (which were as low as $ 339.99) is representative of pricing, which is expected for a budget GPU, and is also in line with the $ 409 price for the over -clocked model (as most OC GPUs are sold at higher prices).
It is also worth noting that PNY’s over -clocked RTX 5060 was also discovered at Best Buy, for $ 299.99, which is possibly a more reasonable proposal for players on a budget.
These lists (which have now been removed) may well be inaccurate with placeholder prices, but it would be difficult to see retail prices be much lower. That said, we will also not like to see a price higher than $ 299.99 for a graphics card using 8 GB VRAM in 2025.
Like Acer Nitro Radeon RX 9060 XT lists this will be dead on arrival if true
I hate to sound like a broken record, but 8 GB of Vram is not enough for games in 2025, and there is enough evidence out there to prove this; from poorly optimized gates, vram-hungry titles and more games that Assassin’s Creed Shadows Forcing RTGI (Ray-Traced Global Illumination), image speeds and smoothness just is not at the level of 8 GB graphics cards.
Computex 2025 and RTX 5060’s launch are now only days away, so it’s still early days. However, I am willing to believe that Team Green’s partner card on this occasion will be priced to absurd levels – especially when you are considering the terrible state of the GPU market.
I can almost guarantee that if any RTX 5060 GPU (including AMD’s RX 9060 XT 8 GB) launches at $ 409 or above, it will not sell well regardless of consumer desperation. It is not me who is hard or targets neither Team Red nor Team Green; It’s just the reality.
Players need more powerful hardware to run newly released, graphic-intensive games, and if they still need to spend so much on a weaker GPU that will make too many compromises to play modern games compared to an RTX 5070 TI or RTX 5080, I imagine there will be a lot of angry PC players …
