- Nothing Phone 3 has “Premium Materials” and “Major Performance Upgrades”
- It is said to be the company’s first true flagship phone
- However, it will also cost much more than previous models
Nothing has so far found smartphone success with eye-catching but affordable handsets targeting the markets with low end and middle class, but with Nothing Phone 3, the company takes a gamble on something more premium.
In a video displayed during the latest Android show, nothing revealed CEO Carl Pei that Nothing Phone 3 is coming this summer (probably meaning once between June and August) and that it will have “premium materials, large benefit upgrades and software that really levels things up.”
These apparently will combine to make this something “first real flagship smartphone”. It sounds promising but surprisingly it comes to a price where Pei adds that Nothing Phone 3 will cost around £ 800.
Look at
A flagship phone with flagship competition
Converted, it is approx. $ 1,060 / AU $ 1,640 but price conversions are rarely accurate. Given that Nothing Phone 2 launched for $ 599 / £ 579 / AU $ 1,049, we would think the US price of Nothing Phone 3 would correspond to the British price – so probably $ 800 or just above. In Australia it is harder to predict, but maybe around AU $ 1,350.
It would put Nothing Phone 3 in a similar price bracket like Samsung Galaxy S25, iPhone 16 and Google Pixel 9, so it would have far more high -profile competition than before no handset.
It will therefore be interesting to see if Nothing Phone 3 will offer enough to justify this award and whether buyers will give it a chance for bigger names. We had to find out soon, but in the meantime, or if you are not in the market for a premium phone, there is always the more medium-sized Nothing Phone 3A and Nothing Phone 3A Pro.
