Chicago Sky star Angel Reese was disinterested in answering a question of a bold statement she made when it came to grow WNBA.
Reese made it clear last June that she thought it wasn’t just “a person” that changed the game with women’s basketball and that historians will look back on the moment in 2024 and prove her right.

“It’s also because of me,” Reese said.
On Tuesday, Reese was asked if she was still feeling that way when she interacted.
“The next question,” she said via Fox 32 Chicago.
A sky official out to the page also chimed in to move on from the question.
The question of who had a greater influence on WNBA’s popularity will remain. For what it is worth, Indiana Fever has dozens of games on national TV this season – more than defense champion New York Liberty.
Reese enters her second season in WNBA with all eyes on how she will do in 2025 with a new head coach and a few new teammates around her.

Angel Reese’s mother apparently takes shots at Caitlin Clark’s fanbase: ‘We are not the same’
The former LSU star’s rookie campaign ended suddenly as she suffered from an injury that kept her away from the floor and prevented Chicago from one last push to the end game. She was an all-star last season and average 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per year. Match. She earned MVP voices and ended up in second place behind Caitlin Clark for Wnba Rookie of the Year.
During the high season, WNBA legend Lisa Leslie offered advice on her game in February and expanded it in an interview with Sports Illustrated.
“Angel has the engine, she has the energy you need to be a great player,” Leslie said. “She has a nose for a ball that is really creepy and really hard to stop. She is a physical player who plays, she enjoys contact so you really can’t rattle her. And I think we have all the pieces that create a really good player.
“I think Angel’s ability to score will continue to get better, score on the inside and finish on the left side and right side. She is a left side that shoots very well on the right side. She has an excellent work ethic and she will continue to get better.”
