Islamabad:
The constitutional bench has reintroduced the law to amend the turnover tax for the former FATA and PATA and suspended Peshawar High Court’s previous judgment, which had canceled the law.
The case regarding the exemption granted under the sixth schedule for the VAT law for residents of FATA and PATA was heard on Wednesday by the five-member constitutional bench, led by Justice Amin-out-Din Khan. Other members of the bench included justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan.
