Chicago hosted NBA’s annual draft lottery on Monday night. Despite entering the lottery with 1.8% odds, Dalla’s Mavericks landed the top choice to the upcoming draft.

Dallas Wings won WNBA Draft Lottery and landed the top election last month’s draft.

Paige Bueckers was the first player from the board.

The former Uconn basketball star said she was shocked by Mavs’ luck in the lottery.

“That was another thing that I didn’t think was real at first,” BUEKERS said, according to Dallas Morning News.

Bueckers said there was reason why Dallas’ NBA franchise landed no. 1 choice.

“But I think God makes no mistake, so it happened for a reason,” she suggested.
