- IPhone -Fold is possibly an annual release starting in 2026
- This should see it taking pro max’s place as the top annual iPhone release
- Apple is apparently looking to make it stand out from other collapsible phones
It seems that Apple may be investing heavily in the rumored iPhone-Fold-Folde known as the foldable iPhone-for rather than this is just a disposable experiment or occasional release as Apple’s SE models, a new report says there will be a new one every year.
According to the South Korean location, a news (via telephone arena), the first foldable iPhone – as this site claims, lands in 2026 – will be the first of many, with the new handset type that is likely to take Pro Max’s place at the top of the iPhone line.
In addition to beating it as the most advanced iPhone, Apple is also reportedly looking to differentiate the folding iPhone from rivals like Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. This report repeats earlier rumors to say this can be achieved through a smaller display curling and a better hinge.
The most expensive iPhone yet
Of course, folding phones are expensive and if Apple places the foldable iPhone over the iPhone 16 Pro Max – as likely – it can have an extremely high price.
In fact, a recent leak suggested that the folding iPhone could cost between $ 2,100 and $ 2,500 (about £ 1,580- £ 1,730 / AU $ 3,300-AU $ 3,630).
So while this phone is likely to not land until 2026 (and possibly later, with some reports pointing to 2027), you may be able to save now-Issay as this can be an annual release, which means you can end up sparking on semi-regularly if you want your Apple hardware to keep up to date.
