WWE star Rhea Ripley called critical fans who believe that women’s wrestlers “deserve better” but also have negative things to say about them in the same breath.

Ripley, a three-time WWE women’s master, made it clear that toxic wrestling fans make it more difficult for female wrestlers to be taken seriously.

“In guys, the real reason is that it is so difficult to be taken seriously as a woman’s wrestler,” she wrote on X. “If you put as much effort into your own miserable lives as you put into degrading successful women, you might accomplish something yourself.”

Larger superstars have evolved in WWE since the company made an investment in women’s wrestling for more than a decade. Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Sasha Banks and Ronda Rusey were just the tip of the iceberg when it came to the movement.

Iyo Sky, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Lyra Valkyria, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, Chelsea Green and Zelina Vega are just a few of the stars that also appear at high levels on the main protectors. Roxanne Perez and Giulia have also been seen in recent weeks with talents such as Stephanie Vaquer, Jordynne Grace, Lash Legend, Sol Ruca and Lola Vice not far behind.

WWE has also introduced the Midcard championships in the last few months for the first time. Women’s InterContinental Championship is shown on “Monday Night Raw” and Women’s United States Championship is shown on “Friday Night Smackdown.” Not to forget the women’s speed championship shown on X during the week.
