- Non -supported systems create a serious cyber security risk that most companies are not ready for
- Cloudhouse warns of sleep hiking to a crisis when companies ignore Microsoft’s Win 10 -term
- Trust is low even among the prepared companies where only 19% feel fully equipped
With less than half a year left before Microsoft finishes support for Windows 10 and Teams Classic, many UK companies seem unprepared for the consequences.
According to Cloudhouse, a significant number of organizations in the UK are either unaware of the nearby deadline or still lack a concrete transitional plan.
Only 38% of respondents reported to have a defined migration strategy, while another 30% said they are still in the decision -making process. Even more that 14% admitted that they have not considered the problem at all, and 18% were completely unaware that the support ends.
Cyberrisici increases as the deadline approaches
When Windows 10 reaches the end of life on October 14, 2025, it could create a potentially dangerous situation for companies that depend on outdated systems to manage sensitive data or critical operations.
“This is a ticking time bomb for businesses. The lack of attention and readiness we see suggests that many organizations are sleeping in a major security and operational crisis,” said Mat Clothier, CEO of Cloudhouse.
“Migrating or managing older systems seems complex, but the Alternative – which runs on non -supported platforms – is a direct route to risk exposure, inefficiency and non -compliance. At this point with increased cyber threats, the way to observance is more important than ever.”
Even among those who are aware of the deadline, confidence remains low. Only 19% believe that their organization is fully equipped to control the security risks associated with non -supported systems.
The largest group, 42%, only feels “something prepared” which may not be sufficient when the deadline arrives.
Cloudhouse has responded by launching a hotline and advisory service at the end of life, designed to help companies quickly assess their current IT environments and explore migration options with minimal costs and disturbance.
The coming months will be critical. Without action, companies risk exposing themselves to cyber threats at a time when attacks are becoming increasingly common and sophisticated.
The question now is not whether Windows 10 support will end or where appealing Windows 11 is, but how many companies are ready when it does. For some, the watch can already be too close to midnight. Nevertheless, here is a six-speed countdown to Windows 10 EOL and how to prepare for it.
