- IFI UP travel connects wireless headphones for entertainment during flight
- Stream audio over bluetooth for audio systems in the car too
- $ 99 / £ 99 / € 99 (around AU $ 205)
IFI’s new UP journey solves two common problems for travelers: using your wireless headphones with entertainment during flight created for wired connections, and streaming music for entertainment in the car and other sound systems that do not make bluetooth sound.
The UP journey is a two-way bluetooth adapter that you can use to stream from in-flight systems to your headphones or from your phone to a vehicle or audio product AUX-IN port.
The device allows you to pair and listen to two sets of headphones at once, although its battery is good for 10 hours, so it may not be able to handle it through the longest flights.
It has a microphone with noise and echo suppression for clear calls when you are back on the ground, why not.

The Up trip is not just a wireless dongle. It is also a proper DAC. Instead of getting the Bluetooth chipset to handle the wireless and the sound as well, the Bluetooth module focuses exclusively on transmission and reception, while the audio conversion is handled by a Cirrus Logic Masterhifi DAC and IFIS tailor -made watch circuits, just as in IFI’s larger portable dacs.
The supported codecs cover all the essentials (although accessibility depends on your device and what it supports), including APTX -adaptive, APTX HD, APTX LOW LATUCY, LDAC, SBC, AAC and LHDC/HWA. And in a nice touch you can change the codecs, so for example, you may want the highest possible quality to listen to music, but switch to something with lower latency to remain synced with the movie during flight.
IFI UP -Journey is $ 99 / £ 99 / € 99 (approx. AU $ 205).
IFI has also launched another travel -focused product, IFI Go Pod Air. It is designed for audiophiles who do not want to give up their wired IEMs, but who need the convenience of cable -free listening. It transmits up to 24-bit/96 kHz and supports all the main high quality codeCS.
It also has built -in microphones for calls. Go Pod Air costs $ 249 / £ 249 / € 249 (approx. AU $ 515).
