The French Minister of the Inner Bruno Retailereau agreed on a number of measures to tighten the security of crypto -subject people at a Friday meeting after a number of kidnappings that have targeted industrial figures in the country.
Measures, including strengthening collaboration with internal security officers to protect professionals, a security briefing provided by police units and education to prevent crypto -laundry was discussed at the meeting. The Director -General of the National Police and Gendarmerie and representatives from the Association of Development of Digital Assets (ADAN) participated with other stakeholders in the industry.
The meeting was held after Tuesday’s failed kidnapping attempts on daughter and grandson of a Crypto Exchange CEO, the third, who has received a broad coverage since the beginning of the year. In May, the father of a French crypto millionaire was kidnapped, BBC reported. And earlier this year, David Ballard, a co-founder of the Crypto-Wallet Developer Ledger Ledger Kidnapped with his wife. Both men had a finger cut off.
“I would repeat my shock over the seriousness of the criminal acts committed, and my determination to put an end to these unbearable attacks aimed at crypto-assists, as well as attacking banks and jewelry shops yesterday,” Retailleu said.
