- AMDS RADEON RX 9060 XT is likely to be revealed on May 21 after a teaser on its x -page
- This is coming after Nvidia’s RTX 5060 -launching on 19 May
- Radeon RX 9060 XT is expected to be sold in June
It’s almost the week with Computex 2025, where NVIDIA and AMD will be the middle scene with keynotes showing new hardware – and Team Red seems to surpass its rival in the budget GPU market.
AMD confirmed via a post of X that it will reveal gaming and AI plans on Computex 2025 on May 21. Especially the picture (the picture below) shows a reproduction of a new Radeon GPU, which is more than likely the alleged Radeon RX 9060 XT. Like the RX 9070 XT model, Team Red also confirms that it will not sell any reference card, which means that the new GPU will only be available to consumers through board partners.
There will be two variants of RX 9060 XT, one with 8 GB of Vram and the other with 16 GB; The former was joined to have lower accessibility at the launch, which is expected to be in June. It has been made clear that some players do not want 8 GB GPUs, considering their inability to deal with graphically demanding games and their performance standards in higher resolutions.
It is worth noting that Nvidia’s RTX 5060 8 GB GPU launch is set to May 19, which could be mentioned on its keynote speaker on the same date. The important case is that the RTX 5060 does not have a separate variant (at least from what we know so far), while the rival RX 9060 XT does. It leaves the team red in pole position to potentially overshadow Nvidia with its reveal on May 21.
However, pricing will be a dealbreaker for both, as consumers expect each GPU to come at affordable low costs – but the trend of the market says otherwise.

Inflation could be another blow to AMD’s new Radeon GPU
Long before the recent US tariffs, third -party GPUs are set over the launch price for multiple retailers, and I expect this trend to continue with AMD’s new Radeon GPU.
Since it will not sell any reference card, consumers will have to rely on retailers who sell partner cards once again – and it is safe to say that it has not proved well. The Radeon RX 9070 XT was sold to players at its retail price, but only for a limited period when prices suddenly rose to leave the GPU in a less appealing position (as the $ 599 launch price was a strong point of sale).
As much as I don’t want to see 8 GB GPUs anymore, there are no stops for now with the 8 GB variant. The one way I see that it is a success is if the price is on or below $ 200, as it can still be a competent card for budget players of 1080p. I would very much like to have proven wrong, but I don’t think we will see that due to retailers consistently raising prices (regardless of AMD’s price points reveal on Computex 2025).
I think this is one of the worst moments that a lower GPU could launch without a reference card-I just hope that consumers who look forward to launch have a chance to get their hands on one before inflation takes over …
