Yankees Voice calls for fans to boo juan soto in bronx return

Juan Soto spent only one season in New York Yankee’s Pinstripes. After helping Yankees moving on to 2024 World Series, Soto New York City City City City and signed a Historical contract with mets.

Mets opens a three-game series with Yankees Friday night. The latest edition of the Subway Series also marks Sotos the first time competing at Yankee Stadium since he hung up with his pinstripes. Much of the scrapers leading up to the series have centered around the reception, which Soto will receive from Yankee’s faithful.

LongTime Play-by-play advertisement and radio host Michael Kay weighs in on the discussion. While Kay discouraged fans from engaging in vulgar song, he urged them to boo the former Yankee’s swallow.

“I expect the reaction to Juan Soto coming to Yankees Stadium,” Kay said. “And I think the reaction, if I’m a Yankee fan, would be constantly booing of Juan Soto. Now, nothing van.

Kay doubled his anti-profanity position and advised Yankees fans to be “a little more wise.”

“Don’t be classless with Bleep Juan Soto,” Kay added. “Be a little more wise than that. You can boo without using the f-word. There are kids in the crowd! But make him feel how hurt you are. Nothing wrong with it. Don’t let anyone blame you into it. I’ve heard people say, ‘Show him you are better than that.’ No, you’re not better than that!

While Soto recognized the possibility of some fans being able to direct boos against him, it does not appear that the potential anxiety dims the swallow’s excitement over returning to Yankee Stadium.

Nevertheless, Kay suggested that many Yankees fans feel a sense of betrayal when Soto bolted to the team’s Crosstown -Rival.

“They feel betrayed they want to become lovers,” Kay noted. “If you want to be betrayed, boo him. Boo him every time he’s near the ball. Boo him every time there’s a fluff ball. Boo him every time he comes up on the record. Boo him!”

“I don’t mind,” Soto told the athletic, referring to the possible Jeers.

Before the start of the regular season 2025, Soto admitted that he “expected the worst” from Yankee’s faithful when he eventually visited Bronx.

Soto ended his lonely season with Yankees with 41 home runs and a .288 batting average. The real Fielder has hit eight homers in 43 games so far this season with Mets.
