Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Saturday that most parts of Sindh, including Karachi, remain in the grip of a heat wave until May 20 due to sustained high atmospheric pressure over the region.

According to MET Office, several districts across Sindh will detect temperatures significantly above normal. In Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad and Naushahro Feroze, temperatures are expected to remain 5 to 7 ° C higher than average.

Similar deviations are expected in Jacobabad, Sukkur and the surrounding areas where the mercury can also remain 5 to 7 ° C over seasonal norms.

Meanwhile, temperatures in badin, Tharparkar, Umerkot and Hyderabad are expected to remain 3 to 5 ° C above normal levels during this period.

In Karachi, the weather remains warm and humid over the next three days of daytime temperatures, which probably vary between 35 and 37 ° C.

Met Office has warned that the sensitive temperature due to elevated humidity will be higher than recorded values.
