The Indiana fever is in the process of a red-hot start to the 2025 WNBA season and takes Chicago Sky, 93-58, behind Caitlin Clark’s triple double.

Clark picked up just where she escaped in 2024. This year’s reigning rookie did it all for a new fever team on her home ground in Indianapolis.

Clark finished the game with 20 points after shooting 6-for-13 from the field with four made 3-Pointers, adding 10 rebounds and 10 assists to lead his team to victory.

She also did so on the defensive end and recorded four blocks and two steals in 32 minutes.

And while Clark was the team’s leading goal scorer, she had help from her colleagues, including Guard Kelsey Mitchell, whose knowledgeable with the ball in her hands led to 15 points on 6-for-12 shooting.

Aliyah Boston, who built great chemistry with Clark during the campaign in 2024, also had a double-double, where he picked up 13 rebounds and 19 points on 8-for-12 shooting.

Natasha Howard turned out to be a problem in the paint to Chicago and scored 15 points with five rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Chicago star Angel Reese struggled to start the season. She was just 5 of 14 from the field, though she led the game with 17 rebounds. She ended with 12 points.

However, it was a bad shooting day around for the sky. The team shot 29.1% (23-for-79) to the 46.7% of the fever.

This is the way the new head coach Stephanie White wanted to start the season by using Clark to anchor an offense with multiple scoring opportunities.

However, there was a moment during the game where tension ran high and Clark was called for an obvious mistake after intentionally to commit Reese hard in the paint. Reese did not take it easy, got up from the field and went on Clark, who was not looking for a confrontation.

The judges reviewed the regular error and upgraded it to flags after watching Clark’s left arm appear to push Reese in the back. Reese got two free throwing with Chicago to preserve possession.
