When it came around Turn 2, Heim spun out. Chandler Smith was able to maneuver Riggs and took the victory home. Riggs finished in second place.
Heim delivered a message to Riggs after the race.
“Relax otherwise I will take care of you,” he said.
Of course, Heim was upset about how Riggs drove him and confronted him about it when everyone was back on Pit Road. Heim called Riggs’ decision on the last lap “Scum Racing.”
“Just why? More than anything else. He tried to make it 7 (Carson HOCEVAR) last week for the victory and mission that was achieved for him,” Heim said via nascar.com. “I guess this week – and it cost him one too. I don’t know. We’ve given up so many of them this year after dominating the race. 38 (Smith) was the only other guy who was rightly good.

“I felt he deserved to win over someone else, not the 34 (Riggs). I was really loose into (turn) 3. Just struggled to be loose on the short races and he had an opportunity and he ruined me.
Riggs defended his “strong feature.”
“If I have a reputation for going to victories, I won’t regret it at all,” Riggs said. “You know I feel like I came from short -track racing, last step and feel like that’s what this kind of racing is made for. I feel like it’s not like we’ve seen in Martinsville in the past, and was disturbed. I feel like it was a strong step and I thought it would pay.
“But unfortunately it didn’t get the victory.”
Heim finished the race in 17 ..
Heim is still leading the drivers with 450 points – 47 more than Smith. Riggs moved up to eighth in the position.
