FBR imposes a fee for Afghan transit trading

Islamabad:

FBR has charged a 10 percent treatment fee on Afghan transit trading.

According to an FBR notification, the electronic fee for five new categories of products, including agricultural tools, cranes, electronic scrap and computer machines.

Sources said the Ministry of Commerce recommended the introduction of a bank guarantee and treatment fee to prevent the utilization of Afghanistan’s lower customs.

The government has launched a crash on illegal trade in the form of Afghan transit. The policy aims to improve tax collection and promote transparency.
