Islamabad:

Pakistan on Monday rejected hard Indian media claims that the used Shaheen missile, which can carry nuclear headings, during “Operation Bunyanun Marsoos”.

Indian media reported that Pakistan was using nuclear-capable Shaheen-II missile-a ballistic missile range with an area of 2,500 kilometers-but was captured by its S-400 air defense system.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has certainly rejected the unfounded accusations circulating in certain segments of the Indian media that mistakenly claims Pakistan employed Shaheen missile during Operation Bunyanun Marsoos (BM),” according to spokesman for the Foreign Office.

The spokesman said these claims originate after the release of a video of the official Twitter of the Indian Army, alleged to have shown the use of Pakistan’s Shaheen missile. When he realized that the claim was not -the Indian army immediately deleted the misleading video.

At that time, sections of the Indian media had already reinforced the false narrative without verification. Unfortunately, some Indian business continues to spread this wrong information according to the spokesman.

The spokesman said it was noteworthy that the official handles of the Indian army remained silent on the case and neither offered clarification nor withdrawal for the erroneous speech.

Analysts note that such disinformation campaigns are part of a deliberate attempt to hide India’s setback in its Operation Sindoor, which was a result of Pakistan’s demonstrated conventional military capabilities.

“In addition, these fabricated stories are in accordance with New Delhi’s ongoing efforts to promote a misleading tale of the ceasefire and baseless allegations of so -called ‘nuclear extortion’ by Pakistan,” pointed out the foreign office.

The range of weapons used by Pakistan is detailed in the ISPR press release of 12. May. Pakistan-armed forces used precision-guided, long-range FATAH-Series-Missiler-F1 and F2-so-so as well as advanced ammunition, very skilled long-range kills and precision wide range of artillery.

Fatah-1 is a surface-to-surface guided missile developed by Pakistan. This series also includes another missile, Fatah-2. According to Pakistan Military’s Media Wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), this missile has a range of up to 400 kilometers and is able to exactly hit its target.

The military places in India and in Indian occupied illegal Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), which are targeted at these assets, are also listed in the ISPR press release on May 12.

Dissemination of non -verified and inflammatory content not only undermines regional stability, but also reflects poorly on professional institutions’ professionalism, warned the spokesman.
