The Punjab government has announced that the summer holidays in all schools throughout the province begin on May 28, 2025.
According to a statement from Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, a decision has been made in view of the ongoing serious heat wave.
In addition to the holiday plan, revised school hours have also been announced to protect students from extreme heat wave. All schools will now operate from 7.30 to 11.30 until the summer holidays begin.

“New school hours will be from 7.30pm to 11.30 pm,” Rana Hayat announced on X. “School holidays start from May 28 (28th will be a holiday).”
Previously, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a new advisory warning of a continuous heat wave over several regions in the country.
According to counseling, temperatures are expected to rise by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius over normal levels in the coming days. PMD has called on the public to take the necessary precautions, especially in the highest afternoon hours, to avoid hot -related diseases.
