- Google launches Python ADK V.1.0.0 and JAVA ADK V.0.1.0
- Its agent-to-agent communication protocol has also been improved
- Python SDK for A2A makes it even easier to control communication between the agent
Google has announced a number of updates to its AI agents in the hope that they will become more streamlined as effective colleagues rather than tools used by colleagues.
“We look for a future where intelligent agents are not only tools, but partners in solving complex challenges, streamlining workflows and unlocking new opportunities,” said Product Manager Polong Lin and developer spokesman for Cloud Ai Holt Skinner in a blog post.
The latest updates focus on improved agent management and enhanced agent-to-agent-communication-a sign that AI is becoming even more autonomous.
Google wants to make AI agents more autonomous
The tech giant has improved its Agent Development Kit (ADK) to include a new production ready and stable V.1.0.0 release of his Python ADK, as it says already used by the Renault Group, Box and Revionics. To coincide with this stable release, Google has also confirmed its first release of Java ADK V0.1.0.
As for management that acknowledges that the Vertex AI agent engine is already helping developers implement, manage and scale agents in production, Google has also launched its agent engine UI for better agent Lifecycle Management.
Key features in the new Google Cloud Console -User Interface Includes A dashboard for managing implemented agents, measurements such as requests and CPU use, session management and tracking and implementation details with debugging tools.
Further improvements to Agent2 Agent (A2A) Protocol have also been confirmed, including V0.2, bringing stateless interaction support to lightweight communication and standardized approval using Openapi -like schedule. A Python SDK to A2A has also been released to make it easier for developers to integration agent-to-agent communication in Python-based agents.
The cow after showing A2A’s power, boasted Google of support from Auth0, Box AI, Microsoft, SAP and Zoom.
“These progress in our ADK, Agent Engine and A2A protocol are designed to give you a comprehensive and flexible platform to bring your most ambitious agent-driven projects to life,” commented Lin and Skinner.
