Following a controversial non-call under a theater piece involving Caitlin Clark on Saturday, Indiana Fever paralyzed head coach Stephanie White White Wnba referee for their official in fever games this season.
In a rant after the fever’s 90-88 loss to New York Liberty, White called the official “creepy.”
New York’s Natasha Cloud came in contact with Clark during the game’s last possession, but judges did not blew the flute.
“I thought she was buried. I think it’s pretty creepy what happened to us the last few matches,” White said of Clark. “The disrespectful respect right now for our team has been pretty incredible. So it’s disappointing, you know it’s not going both ways or it’s not gone both ways.”

White also acknowledged that the league has a system in place for teams to communicate discrepancies with judicial decisions, but questioned whether the system works.
“There is a system to make sure we can send things in and communicate our complaints, so to speak. I don’t know if I have the feeling that the system is working,” she said.

Clark refused to give his opinion on the referee’s call for the final game.
“I don’t know. I have to go back and see,” Clark said of the call.
During the game, Clark immediately looked to the officials for a mistake and quickly started shouting at them as she realized there was no bad call. Her teammate, Sophie Cunningham, also approached the judges to protest the lack of a flute.

A repetition showed that Sky pushed her shoulder into Clarks the moment the ball loosened. But the judges did not jump the flute and the game ended there.
The fever fell to 2-2 on the season and has been at the wrong end of a number of controversial decisions from officials in their first four games of the season.
