Persephone has been a rising talent in professional wrestling over the past two years, becoming the reigning Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) Women’s World Champion as well as the Universal Amazons Champion and winner of the 2025 Grand Prix de Amazonas.

She has been used on All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Maple Leaf Wrestling and Ring of Honor to name just a few promotions. She has also made an impression on AEW star Thunder Rosa.
Rosa told Pakinomist Digital that she thought Persephone had broken out.
“I think she’s one of those talents that — she bet on herself a long time ago. She was a luchadora. She had a mask. She lost her mask and she’s worked very, very hard to make that opportunity for herself,” Rosa said. “And I think she’s found her time. And it’s been this year, I think she’s been the breakout star of the year, I would say. I think when she started coming last year and doing some of the shows, people started to see how talented she was.”
Rosa said she has seen Persephone’s growth as a wrestler firsthand and has the ability to get fans cheering for her even though she is presented as a heel.

“I mean, I’ve seen her grow since 2020 in the independent scene, and now when I go to Mexico City and they love her, whether she’s a heel or not, they love her over there,” Rosa added. “And now how she’s been able to transition to American style, it’s also very interesting to see because when you see this transition, that I go into Mexico and try to transition to Lucha Libre and her, even though she was born here in America and she’s binational, it’s always very, very good to see her transition to American wrestling.
“But she’s very smart and she knows what she’s doing. So I’m really proud of her.”
