- A UI 8 could be available in beta very soon
- The software update is based on Android 16
- A new running coach -function could be included
While a UI 7 has only recently been pushed out to the masses of Samsung, it seems that a UI 8 will follow it very soon – and the software upgrade could well come up with a new running coach feature included.
As stained by Tipster @Tarunvats33 (via Android Central) gives a message sent through the Samsung members of the Galaxy devices, instructions to join the One UI 8 Beta program, which suggests it will be opened in the near future.
A UI 8 is Samsung’s acquisition of Android 16, and it makes sense for Samsung to try to get as close to Google’s software update cycle as possible. Google has suggested a June launch to Android 16, with rumors pointing on Tuesday, June 3rd as the big day.
Samsung has not said anything official about dates or accessibility, but it seems that the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will be the first devices that are eligible to be enrolled in the beta program for those who will try it in front of the full release.
To get running coaching

As one UI 8 Beta program comes closer to opening up, we have also got a tip about a new running coach feature, which was discovered by @gerwinvgiess (via Sammobile). It is possible that the feature will be part of the Samsung Health app or an independent app.
Based on screens that are posted on social media, the coach uses the tracking features on your phone or smartwatch to analyze your current running level and then make personalized recommendations on improvements.
“Running Coach uses ‘level up’ assessments to determine your fitness level and adjust your running program accordingly,” says one of the information screens. “This helps track your progress and keep the risk of injury low when you gradually improve your fitness.”
There has been no notice of any of this from Samsung, but we may get one in July sometime: That’s the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to arrive and they were joked with a UI 8 on board.
