President Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces on Sunday after nine terrorists attached to the forbidden “Khawarij” group were killed in intelligence -led operations in Khyber -Pakhtunkhwa.
The military’s media wing said the operations took place on May 24 and 25 in three separate meetings. The terrorists were described as “Indian sponsored” according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In a statement from the Presidency, President Zardari praised Valor and professionalism in security forces and emphasized that operations – based on precise intelligence – demonstrate Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to eradicate terrorism and protect national sovereignty.
“These successful operations against Indian sponsored terror elements are very commendable,” said President Zardari. “Our security forces have again exhibited unmatched bravery and dedication in neutralizing threats to national security.”
He confirmed that fighting terrorism will continue until the complete elimination of terrorist decorations. “The fight against terrorism is far from past. The overall settlement of Khawarij and other extremist groups remains a national goal and we are fully obliged to reach it.”
President Zardari repeated the nation that its defense will not be compromised under any circumstances. “Our determination of eliminating terrorism and protecting our homeland remains unwavering.”
