Indiana Pacers is a win away from going towards the NBA final.

Pacers took Game 4 in the Eastern Conference Finals, 130-131, over New York Knicks to take a commanding 3-1 series lead.

Knicks pulled with as many as 10 in the second quarter, as Pacers couldn’t miss throughout the first half. However, New York was able to come back and lead 64-63 with just over a minute back, but Indiana ended the first half on a 6-0 race.

This race continued into the second half as Pacers went up a dozen points less than three minutes into the third quarter. But Knicks kept within striking distance – after all, they came back from 20 points down for the third time in these playoffs just two days ago.

But just as they did in the first and second quarter, Pacers ended the third on a 12-5 race (the first one was a 9-4 stretch). And this is also expanded to the fourth. With a 9-5 run to start the final frame, Indiana came out to a 15-point lead, their biggest of the night.

But Knicks again hadn’t died – they went on a 10-2 race to cut their deficit to six with just under five minutes left. But they couldn’t find the magic this time, and former Knick Obi Toppin hit the dagger with a three-pointer to set up Indiana with just over 45 seconds.

Tyrese Haliburton went out for a triple double, scored 32 points, distributed 15 assists and grabbed a dozen rebounds without committing a single revenue. Pascal Siakam added 30 points while Benedict Mathurin had 20 from the bench.

Jalen Brunson (31), Karl-Anthony Towns (24) and and Anunoby (22) combined for 77 by Knicks’ 121 points. Knicks also lost the turnover match, 17-11.

The bad news is that Knicks will now have to win three games in a row to keep their season alive. The good news, though, is that Quest starts on their own home ground on Thursday night. However, it was two losses on Madison Square Garden to open this series that put them in this position in the first place.
